Make The Switch! How to Switch Your Medical Marijuana Doctor in Florida

Thinking about switching to Dr. Julia Springs? Here’s what to do first.

Patients in Florida have the right to change their medical marijuana physician at any time. If you’re currently certified with another doctor and want to transfer your care to Dr. Julia Springs, we’ll help you do it the right way—without any disruption to your access or active orders.

⚠️ Step 1: Contact Us First

Before you release your current doctor, call or text our office at (813) 485‑5954.

We’ll review your current status in the state registry and let you know if it’s the right time to switch.

Releasing your doctor too soon can interrupt your active orders.

Let us help you time it correctly so there are no gaps in your care.

Step 2: Log in to the State Registry

Once we confirm that it’s safe to proceed:

1. Visit mmuregistry.flhealth.gov

2. Log in with your MMUR email and password

3. Forgot your password? Reset it here

Step 3: Navigate to Your Profile

Click “Manage Your Information” at the top of the screen

Then choose “Patient Profile” from the dropdown menu

Step 4: Click “Leave Physician”

You’ll see your current doctor listed.

Click the “Leave Physician” button to deactivate yourself from their care.

If you don’t see a physician listed or there’s no button, you’re not currently assigned and can proceed directly with us.

Step 5: Confirm and Contact Us Again

Click “Yes” to confirm your release.

Once that’s done, let us know and we’ll finalize your transition to Dr. Springs.

What Happens Next?

• You do not need to reapply for a new card

• Your card stays valid—only your orders are updated

• After your visit with Dr. Springs, she’ll enter your new certifications

• Most patients can resume dispensary access same-day
